3D Fabrication

"3D fabrication" is the umbrella term I use to describe a wide range of creative projects- primarily costume design, toy design, or art installations. These projects utilize a wide range of skills I've picked up along the way - sewing, wirework and metalwork, electronics, sculpture, painting, 3D printing. Fabrication projects generally do not have a specific engineering focus, but still focus on design, creativity, and assembly.

Projects

Costume Designs (2018-2024)

"I'm All Ears" (2023)

The "I'm All Ears" Costume made quite a stir when it debuted at Formlabs HQ on Halloween 2023. This is my most ambitious costume project to date. The design was digitally sculpted, the molds were then 3D printed, and the final piece was cast in flesh-toned silicone. If you are interested in seeing the full making-of, I wrote an article for the Formlabs blog going over all the details of the process.
