Work Experience

Over the years I've worked within the fields of aerospace, product design, mechanical engineering, web design, and education. I've had titles ranging from summer camp art instructor to designer, animator, technician and engineer.  Each experience teaches me something new about what I want to do and my qualities as a leader, collaborator, and creative.

Experiences

Formlabs   (2022-Present)

Mechanical Design Engineer (Somerville, MA)

After graduating college in 2022, I moved out to the Boston area to start working at Formlabs. Formlabs is a company that designs and manufactures professional 3D printers, including both SLA (resin-based) and SLS (Powder-based) machines. I'm currently working on designing the next generation of SLA machines, focusing on the optical and resin-mixing systems.

Howmet Aerospace   (Summer 2021)

New Product Development Intern (Carson, CA)

In Summer 2021, I interned with the New Product Development team of Howmet Aerospace within the Fastening Systems division. Howmet Aerospace is a global leader in engineered aerospace products including fasteners, engine components, and structures. Within my internship, I designed and carried out experiments related to development of an industrial blind bolt fastener. Within this role, I gained experience with surface preparation techniques, scanning electric microscopy, computer image processing, statistical methods, and the aerospace industry. At the end of the summer I presented my findings to upper management.

UCLA Innovation Lab   (2018-2022)

Student Technician (Los Angeles, CA)

The UCLA Innovation Lab, also known as the UCLA Engineering Makerspace, is a unique space on UCLA's campus where engineering students can work on hands-on fabrication projects for personal, educational, or research purposes. The 9,000 square foot space contains 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutter and T-shirt press, embroidery station, hand tools, and electrical tools. As a staff member, I am responsible for supervising the space, training students, and assisting with projects. I also created the logo design and manage branding. Over the years, this space has been the workspace for many of my miscellaneous engineering and 3D fabrication projects.
